Connor’s POV
Hali is already parked outside when I pull up, her boyfriend Gage opening the driver’s side door and jogging around the hood to open her door for her as I slide my truck into the space beside him.
Reaching in, the soldier helps my sister out, wrapping an arm protectively around her as she shivers slightly in the freezing weather.
Throwing open my door, I climb out, heading toward the pair as they turn to look at me.
‘Thanks for coming’ I mutter robotically, before stomping toward the glass double door and opening it, then leading the couple toward the stairs and up to the third floor.
Moving down the hallway, I stop at number thirty two, sliding my door key into the lock and turning it before stepping inside.
