Connor’s POV It doesn’t look any different, my house, as we pull up in front of it, but it’s completely alien to me now. The flowers out front are the same, the pale blue colour of the outside so familiar, but it’s no longer my home. I hand the driver some money, before I force myself out of the back of the cab and straighten up, staring at the house in front of me for a few minutes before I start the slow walk up the driveway to the front door. Sliding my key into the lock, I turn it, shoving the door open but not taking a step inside. I can smell her, Eva, her perfume still hangs in the air, even after a few days of her being gone.
