Connor’s POV ‘How’s it going?’ my sister asks as she rocks my sleeping daughter in her arms, looking every bit the mother she will soon become. My heart constricts at the sight, knowing that for Grace, that connection, that love of a mother, she’ll never have now. ‘Good’ I admit, as I fold the pile of baby leggings that I’ve just taken out of the dryer.
