I went with Wolverton’s lawyer back to England after I verified everything he said. I no longer hesitated because there was no one left of me in South Carolina ... apart from my friends. I know they are very sad when I leave but I don't want to be a burden to them for the rest of my life because they don't have an obligation to me. I also spoke on the cellphone to my uncle Winston, dad’s only brother, and he said he would take care of me from now on.
I prayed fervently and asked for my parents' guidance. I dreamed and I saw them there smiling happily at me, I just thought that was the sign that the decision I made was right.
