“Make our own baby?” My voice squeaked as I asked Jerry.
“Yes.”
“No,” I abruptly replied.
“No?” Jerry asked in confusion. He had one eyebrow raised.
“No,” I repeated firmly.
“Why no?”
“Because, Jerry, it will not look good when people find out that you were having an affair and making babies too at the same time Isabelle is. They will think that you are not different from her.”
“Fine. But she did it first.” He pouted his lips at me making him look like a child. “And to think that she had also planned a crime against me.”
“It doesn’t matter who did it first. Just be patient, okay? Baby?” Jerry was soothed as he heard me call him ‘baby’.
“Okay. If you say so.”
“And it will be best that we wait after the trial and when we are sure that the odds with the council are in
