Pulling Stephanie by her hair, Logan lifted her to her feet, making her squeal in pain.
“Stop! You're hurting me!" Stephanie screamed, feeling the pain rising from her scalp as if he were intent on ripping her hair out. She reached up to remove his hand from her hair to stop him, but they both knew it was hopeless.
Logan turned her around and forced her to walk toward the stairs, still holding her hair.
Stephanie's heartbeat soared, pounding fiercely in her chest. She knew he was going to take her back and lock her up in that pathetic room. If she needed to get out of here, she had to act fast.
