I reach the hotel after running for an hour. I head inside and smile when a little old woman with soft brown eyes waves from behind a large desk. "Hello, can I help you," she asks. I fight the urge to sob because I wish the answer was no. "I need a room for the night." "Of course," she says and passes me a key. "Don't mind the ramblings of an old woman, but I hope whatever you are going through gets better," she says. I nod not trusting myself to speak. I take the elevator to the second floor and step into room 202.
I head right for the bathroom. Harmony was quiet the entire way to the human town. I know she is hurting as much as I am. I hate that I'm causing her pain by ripping her away from her mate, but I don't know how to move forward with Caspian. I think about Brook
