673 Words
With no more things to be done, everyone got their pieces of fun. My mom is busy catching up with her friends and my dad is sipping wine with his friends. Everyone is having fun. *Tap I look around only to see my stunning boyfriend. “Finally, I can have a time with you” He said after people who attended the party stop approaching me to send their regards. “Jealous already babe…” I teased. “Na-uh. They have nothing against me.” He bragged pertaining to the guys who sent me their regards. I know. No one can ever surpass you as a man in my sight. Surely when you love someone, you will not find others better than your man. He invites me to the garden where no one is around. “I want to be with you with no one else to disturb.” As soon as we arrived at the garden, he hands me a wrapped gift. “Open it.” He said which I obliged. Whoa! This is very cute. “I love it…” I said and hugged him so tight. It was a notebook with a customized cover which includes our photos together  “Easy princess…you might ruin your get up.” I heard him say as I let go of my hug. I would care less of my looks as long as I have you. “But why notebook?” I asked him. This is new because he always gives me foot wears as gifts. He’s in love with my toes he said. “I also have one.” He took a deep sighs before proceeding on what he is saying. “I want you to keep the notebook and record all the important events in your life when I will be entering MMA.” My chest felt something painful. “I will also do the same. Then, when we got a chance to meet, let’s read it together.” He said sadness was visible in his voice. I almost forgot. He’ll be leaving soon…next week to be precise. The probationary period of the  Merchant Marine Academy (MMA)will start March on 30. Today is 23…so we barely have 7 days more left to be together. A tear escapes my eyes without me knowing. “Shhhhhhhh” He comforted me and gently wiped my tear. “Babe…I don’t mean to make you cry. Please stop. I’m sorry.” Then he hugged me. Why does he have to leave me? Yes. It was his dream and it was his father’s dream too. I shouldn’t feel bad about that. “Shhhhh....” He continued patting my back. “Please don’t cry…It’s pains me too seeing you cry.” I am sorry…it’s just that your little miss is such a cry baby. Still, I gathered all my remaining strength to speak. I don’t want too make him feel bad of his decision of entering a quasi-military school. “Babe I u-understand…I r-really do understand. It’s just that it doesn’t feels right here.” I pointed my chest. I really understand the need of parting but I can’t help but to feel very sad. “Don’t worry baby. I will try to contact you as often as possible if circumstances will permits us. I heard there will be free times for MMA cadets every weekends once the probation ends." “Yeah…let’s do that.” I am uplifted with the thought he just said. At least by now I am assured that I'm still going to have time with him even if it's only through skype and video calls. Once more, I hugged him tight and buried my face in his chest which he gladly responded with his own.
