One year after…

Déjà vu. This scene speaks so much of familiarity. Nostalgic that it almost reminded me of the past.
The familiar smiley faces around as well as the loud and proud resonating conventional music background reminds me of the high school graduation I hold dear in my memory. Such kind of memory I hope to happen now for the second time around, but due to unexpected circumstances, it didn’t.
Well, at least the part of me ascending on the school’s fancy stage to receive my diploma did happen. Only that, the same happiness I am expecting to experience like I did five years ago; and treasure in my heart once again was not present.
I am not as happy as I did back then.
