After leaving the banquet, Jasper led Yasmin deeper into the forest away from everyone. When they came to a clearing they stopped walking, “What is it?” Yasmin asked, nervously. Her palms were sweating and she was doing everything in her power not to look at him. The entire walk into the forest was quiet and awkward. It was as if there was a huge question mark over their relationship, and she had no idea what to say.
“I didn't really want anything, I was just trying to make sure you were OK," Jasper said, finally looking over at Yasmin. He was also nervous. As much as he tried to deny his feelings, he couldn't help but feel drawn to her.
"I'm fine? Why wouldn't I be?" She asked, touched that he was worried about her but at the same time, she knew it was only because of their friendship.
