“See you later Mom and Dad. Kenny, Evan be good,” Isabella said, as she walked towards the front door of her parents’ house with her bag in tow. It had been 3 months since she found out that she wasn’t alone in the house when it caught fire and Tyler and Scott agreed to look into it. She had asked both men if they had made any progress, but so far they had come back empty-handed to her dismay. At that moment Isabella was home for Christmas break and was just about to head to Mount Shasta for training.
“I still can’t believe you’re leaving this soon. I feel like you just got here,” Her mother said, as she hugged her.
“I know Mom, but, I told you I was invited to go skiing with my friends.” She lied. That was the only thing she could think of that would get her mother off her back.
