Chapter 39

1506 Words

“What the hell is he doing here?” Tyler asked, his voice low, but his entire demeanor changed to one of pure rage, and if it wasn’t for Rus placing a hand on Tyler’s shoulder, he would have attacked Scott. “I take it you know that guy?” Jasper asked, following Tyler’s murderous gaze as Scott reluctantly followed his father and stepmother to the head table. “In a matter of speaking,” Tyler barked, his eyes locked on Scott as if Scott's back was a target. However, Scott didn't pay him any attention. In fact, he wasn't paying attention to anyone. He didn't want to be there, but his father made him come and, seeing the murderous look in Tyler's eyes, made Scott wish he would have stayed home. It wasn't that he was scared of Tyler, he just didn't have time for whatever bullshit Tyler was on.
