As soon as his cousins left, Tyler walked straight into Isabella’s room. He could hear the water coming from the shower behind the closed bathroom door. He was tempted to go inside not because of hormones, but because he could tell that she was upset. He stood in front of the door, hand on the nob; but just as he was about to turn it, his phone rang.
The sound jolted him back to reality. He then pulled his phone out of his pocket. When he saw his father’s number, he remembered that he still had to report on what happened that day.
