After we spent a few more minutes discussing small details of the contract, we left the meeting room with a huge sense of relief. I smiled as we watched Alpha Ryan, his betas, and his gammas all leave with huge smiles of their own. I couldn’t believe it. I had initiated the process to establish peace for my new pack and I couldn’t be happier at this moment in time.
I feel Andrew come up behind me and wrap his arms tightly around my waist. “You did it, baby. I don’t know how you did it, but you did it.”
I giggle as he places a gentle kiss on my mark and I stand up straighter with pride. “I don’t know how I did it either, but you’re right. Our people will know peace and prosperity from this point forward. Well, at least until another threat comes our way.”
