Once dinner was made and everyone had gathered to eat, it didn’t take long for the crew of growing wolf pups and a fully grown alpha male to devour the spread. Sometimes I forget just how malnourished these kids were just three weeks ago. Since we took them in, all five of them have gained enough weight to be considered healthy. Their hair is coming in thicker and shinier than it was, their eyes are brighter and full of life, and their laughter fills the halls of the pack house. Them being here has made a world of difference to us and the staff who work here on a daily basis. Once dinner was over, we had the kids get ready for bed and Andrew and I started clearing away the mess from dinner.
