I feel the tears start to roll down my cheeks as I see Mia’s eyes light up. I didn’t realize just how much I missed my big sister until now. The only thing that would make this better is if Max was here too. As if on cue, Max pops his head out of the window of the SUV behind the one Will and Mia are in. I feel the tears roll faster down my cheeks as he climbs out of the car through the window and rushes towards me at a full sprint. “Milly!”
I sniffle and open my arms for him as he picks me up and spins me around. Mia is right next to him and hugs the both of us tightly in her arms. I hear her sniffle as we stand there in each others’ embrace and enjoy the moment.
