Kane’s POV
Heading out to my truck, the sun is setting, I’ve been here longer than I realised, time really flew. Climbing into the cab, I slide the key into the ignition and start the engine, backing out of the space and heading toward the main road. I indicate right, waiting to turn out and head home when I hesitate, my eyes flick from the left turn to the right before I reach forward and push up the indicator lever, and turn left instead.
I make my way through the thinning traffic, people heading home after days out no doubt. I follow the now familiar route until I reach the driveway of the two story house I’m looking for. I carry on past, stopping outside of a house a few down from Brandy’s before turning off the engine and sliding out.
