Marcus’ POV I fly across the ice, laser focused on the puck as it flicks back and forth between our team captain’s stick. We’re three, one up, my lucky charm working even through a cell phone screen. So far I’ve assisted two of the goals and the adrenaline pumping through my body is spurring me on to find the back of the net myself. The puck slides toward Kane who catches it, dodging one of the Denver Enforcers as he tries to intercept. I get myself into position, my counterpart flicking the puck toward me, just before he’s slammed into the barrier by one of their defencemen. I gather the rubber disk to me and pull back, slapping my stick forward, before holding my breath.
