Baile
Baile stared at Abby’s text. Tears filled his eyes and emotions rose up to choke him. Yes, he had felt it. He felt that feeling that said they belonged together.
But that didn’t change anything. They will never be together, not the way he wanted or Abby wanted.
Modise will never change his mind. Baile has known him for most of his life. He knew how stubborn Modise could be. It didn’t matter that last night had been amazing or he’d finally given to the desire that had thrummed between them ever since they we young. He’ll never change his mind.
Baile sniffed wiping the tears that had found their way on his cheek.
He’ll get over this.
Abby will too. At least he had Modise. A half of something is better than nothing, Baile thought as he got to his feet.
