By the time Modise came back, Baile and Abby were about to sit down for dinner. Sam had come and left, which was a good think because Abby wanted to be alone with Baile and Modise.
They’ve never been together with everyone fully aware of what was happening, or in full agreement.
When Modise walked in the door Abby rushed to pull him into a hug. He was so happy he couldn’t contain his happiness. He dragged him to the kitchen where Baile was putting the finishing touches to their meal.
Baile turned away from the stove as they walked in. He stared at him as if he wasn’t sure what to do next.
