“Are you sure you want to go?” I ask Malena.
“Yes. I have a feeling that this whole mess is Hendrix doing. I want to be there.” She says.
“And you are okay with leaving Dayton?”
“No. But I know he will be safe with Max, Shauna, and Cora.”
I nod. “Max won't leave his side.”
Dayton woke up after three days. After a week and a half, the doctor said he was out of danger though he still has to take it easy.
Because of what happened, I managed to postpone the meeting and that is where we are heading now.
I watch Malena hug Dayton and then we head out.
