"What?" She asks as she kneels down before me.
I nod at her.
"I figured it out. That you are the lady who gave birth to me. But left me out in the woods to grow up myself" I whisper.
And at this point, I see tears rolling down her cheeks. She places her hand on my cheek. I debate if I should lean into the touch or not. Because it is now clear that she is my mother.
"I searched for you everywhere. Having no idea that you were always right beside me" I whisper making new tears pool in her eyes.
"I am sorry" she whispers.
