★Noah★ “Noah?” Anastasia called out the second she burst through the front door. I looked up from my phone and watched as she came into the sunroom. “Ah, there you are,” “Here I am,” I said with a smile. “So…I have…a lot to tell you,” she said, and I wasn’t sure if it was her tone of voice or her body language that put me on high alert, but I knew that whatever it was, wasn’t good. “Ok…?” “So, Eloise isn’t my Aunt. She is my mother,” Anastasia informed me as she took a seat across from me. My whole body tensed as I watched her closely. “She gave me this whole big story about what happened and how it happened and why and…” her voice trailed off, and I lowered my gaze. “You knew, didn’t you?” she asked, and I was actually surprised that there wasn’t an accusatory tone to her question.
