Last night, Eager stayed up most of the night, worried and thinking about Rosa. He wants to know why Rosa is covering for the bastard who beat her. Also, what reason did he have to do that to his daughter? He feels like a failure as a father becasue he wasn’t there to protect Rosa.
Luna thought Eager would be asleep when she found him sitting in his favorite chair by the window with his bible. He was praying that he would never find out who the man was because he would kill him. She walked over to him and got on her knees and prayed that it wouldn’t come to that.
This morning, Luna woke Rosa, as she was asked to do. But not because of the job interview. It got her to eat breakfast and helped her get into the bathtub to soak in Epsom Salt to relieve the soreness.
