Later that evening, when Sam, Lucas, Nell, and Hobie arrive at the mansion, they notice that there are only a few cars there. Since they wanted to arrive early, neither of them thought about it.
Hobie was walking behind them, grinning like a Cheshire cat. Nell glanced back at him and wondered about him grinning. She’s brought out of her thoughts when the doormen ask for the password.
“Rats in a trap,” Hobie says as he cuts his eyes at Sam, Nell, and Lucas.
Lucas and Sam look at him and frown. Nell grabs their hands and walks inside the house. “s**t,” all three mumble in unison while looking at Shadow, Zeno, Judd, and four men staring at them. They try to back out the door but are stopped when they bump into three men.
