Christmas morning always starts with the children opening their presents and playing with the toys that Santa left them. The adults always open their presents that evening while having cocktails. That tradition was started by Americus's mother. She felt that Christmas day would be about the children and that evening was all about the adults. Americus and her sister, Kathani, kept the tradition going. The men are in the den playing with the kids. Dexter keeps looking toward the hallway as if he's expecting something. Kaleigh usually brings him a cup of coffee, but she didn't do it this morning. He refused to give her the satisfaction of going to the kitchen to get it himself. Courtney glances at him.
