When Dexter arrived at the hospital, he went to the office, but it was locked and his key wouldn’t open. A security guard told him the board was in the conference room and was requesting him to make an appearance. Dexter thought they were firing him. Instead, they were reinstating him, but if any other incident like that happened again, he would be terminated.
Pernell made sure to tell him that the only reason his administrative leave was lifted was because of his patients. They're putting the patient's well-being over his personal life.
Dexter didn't care what the reason was. All he could think about was now he didn't have to tell Kaleigh about it. After getting his keys, he walked to the elevator, cussing Pernell out. He gets in the elevator and sees Pernell looking at him, smiling
