Americus is in her home office, making calls and working on an upcoming deal. She’s looking at the movie script that she has written. It’s due to start filming in September, and she hasn’t chosen the cast. She had hoped her husband would join the cast. It seems that he may still be filming the movie about Sitting Bull.
She walks to the window, lays her hand on her stomach, and looks around the yard. Americus is thinking about her children and how she isn't looking forward to leaving them with her parents.
