Eden and Garner received a letter from the family court yesterday. Garner hasn’t opened it yet; it has been on his fireplace mantel unopened. Eden can’t take the suspense any longer and opens it. Garner is standing in the doorway, looking at her as if his life depended on it.
She reads the letter, “Well, grandpa, be prepared to tell your daughter the court rewarded you with full guardianship.”
