My heart thumped in my chest, my eyes resting everywhere but his eyes.
I wondered if he would still want anything to do with me.
The silence dragged, my stomach knotting more with each passing second.
“Say something,” I said, my voice just above a whisper.
Dev blinked and then his lips parted. “Did the demon make you do that?” he asked.
Although part of me wanted to, I would have never done it if the demon hadn’t asked.
I nodded.
Dev sighed. “It cannot be helped then.” He wrapped his arm around me and pulled me closer to him.
“The demons made us do things we would have never done.”
Slinking his head closer, he locked his lips with mine. We started slow at first, our tongues twisting around each other.
