Evan had been looking for Kari all damn day. She had slipped away during training, vanished after sparring with Alec, and none of the warriors could tell him where she had gone. She missed lunch. When he finally tried to reach her through the mindlink, now that he finally could, she had a block up. By the time dinner came and went without a glimpse of her, he was pacing like a caged animal.
