Royal bigot

1384 Words
Lily I don’t know if it’s his arrogance which exhumes from afar or knowing that he hurt Vince, I just don’t like this man. I am turning around heading back to my cabin when he speaks. “Please, don’t leave on my behalf, My Lady.” His mannerisms and even his voice is close to those of his brother’s, yet I find him repulsive while Vince is charming. “Not at all, Your Highness. I was looking for Vince. He is clearly not here.” “Call me Alfred, Gorgeous.” I want to puke at that seductive voice. Does he not se anything wrong with lusting after his brother’s women? “I will stick to His Highness, if that is fine with you. I will go now.” He shakes his head and holds my arm, preventing me from walking away. I can feel my anger rising while he flashes me a strained smile. “I saw Vince leaving your cabin a few minutes ago. You are not looking for him. You are avoiding me. I get the feeling that you hate me, My Lady.” I am caught out, yet I feel no remorse. I don’t owe him and explanations. “Hate is too strong of a word. Dislike is more like it, Your Highness.” “You don’t even know me,” he cries and tightens his hold on my arm when I try to free myself. “One does not have to physically meet a person to dislike them. When you hurt the person I adore, I will dislike you and even hate you.” He lets out a chuckle and I want to punch his stupid face. “I don’t know what Vince told you, but don’t you think you should hear both sides of the story before deciding to dislike and even hate me?” “I trust Vince.” “Interesting and feisty. You are something special, Lilian. No wonder you linger in my head.” I thought I was reading too much into him when he came to introduce himself earlier. I was not. He is flirting with me. This man is an asshole! I swear I can feel him undressing me with his eyes, making me cringe. That is enough for me to forcefully pull away my arm and almost fall. “Good evening, Your Highness.” I must never be alone with this man. He is a bigot. I am cursing all the way back to my cabin when I meet Naomi, who curiously studies me. “Are you okay, Lilian?” I am so angry I can’t even respond to her. “You look upset,” she adds. “Tell me something, what is the punishment for kicking some royal bigot’s balls?” She giggles and places her hand over her mouth. “It depends on the title of the royal bigot in question, and the location where the mentioned offence is committed.” Her response piques my curiosity. “The islands are all under monarch rules. They all protect each other, so, you will be harshly punished, if not executed. The ocean on the other side, is neutral ground, but we do own the ship. You could be kicked out right in the middle of this ocean.” “Huh!” I can’t help but huff before storming to my cabin. The lecherous i***t knows that he is protected. The following day is just as beautiful as the day before. The sun is out, and the majestic ocean is as calm as a millpond. I rush out of the bathroom to open for Vince, who has been knocking at the door. “Morning. Sorry, I was in the shower.” He frowns before planting a kiss on my lips. “You did not lock your door before.” I swallow my saliva, thinking of a better explanation for my change of behavior, and find none. I wish lying came as easy for me as it did to other people. He raises his sexy eyebrows. “This ship is very much safe, especially this floor.” “I know. It must be a reflex,” I lie through my teeth and avoid his eyes. “Lilian?” Damn it! I have told that I am a bad liar. He walks in and closes the door. Today he has tight blue jeans and light green short-sleeved shirt. It is supposed to be a simple casual wear, but the strong arms and veins mapping them, make him so damn sexy. His biceps bulge out when he holds my arm. “Talk to me.” I let out a sigh, debating what to do in my head. It is best that I don’t tell him about my encounter with his brother. I hate how his whole mood changes when his brother shows up. Telling him about last night might just spoil his whole day. “You are keeping something from me,” he points out. “Tell me.” “I don’t like the way your brother looks at me and I, apparently can’t kick his balls without escaping punishment.” I expected him to go ballistic when I tell him what happened, but he is not surprised. “I am assuming he is always like this,” I conclude, and he nods. Now it makes sense why Naomi did not even ask me whom I was referring to. She knows her obnoxious husband. “He has no boundaries and no control around beautiful women. You are quite alluring, but he will never force himself on you.” I should be flattered that he thinks I am beautiful, but I am still angry with his brother’s lack of boundaries. “How do you know, Vince? He could not even keep his disgusting treacherous desires from his sister-in-law to be. He is the heir to the throne and exempt from rules and law. He can be an arrogant ass and still be the next king.” He laughs so hard, tears are running down his cheeks by the time he recollects himself. I was angry, but I find myself smiling. “Oh, Lilian, where have you been my entire life?” I shake my head at his sense of humor. “I can always sleep on the couch, if that will make you feel safe,” he suggests while I frantically shake my head. “I will just keep my door locked when sleeping. Thanks for the offer.” “What? Afraid you can’t resist me, My Lady?” “It’s not that.” He walks closer to me with that expression that makes my heart race. “You can resist me?” I open and close my mouth, words failing me. He is taking this as a challenge, one I know I would fail dismally. “Can you, really?” he presses on. “Just stop. Why are we even talking about this?” He laughs and takes a sit on the couch. He likes pushing my buttons. “I am going to get dressed. Stay there,” I instruct, and he chuckles. I am starting to think he finds everything I say amusing. “You looked quite enthralling with just that towel on, My Lady. Makes me wonder what is underneath it.” I don’t bother responding to him, because my stupid cheeks are burning as usual. I am completely naked under this towel, because I was rushing to open the door for him. “Oh, here’s your second day of Christmas present.” I am at the bathroom door when I stop and face him. He lifts an exquisite bag my direction. “You already gifted me a Christmas present. I don’t need another one.” “You don’t, but I am a perfect boyfriend. I am on a mission to replace the legendary true love in the twelve days of Christmas carol.” “You can’t be serious!” “But I am, My Love. You will be singing the most beautiful Christmas carol by the time I am done with you.” My jaw drops when I take out the most beautiful green cotton dress I have ever seen. My face burns when my towel mirrors my jaw, dropping to the floor…
