“What?” she gasped, narrowing her eyes at me as she sat on the tree stump.
I was too overwhelmed to care what she thought about me losing my filter. We were lost. And she most probably didn’t even know where she had taken us to. Nervously wiping my face, I looked around, hoping to see something familiar. This must be a part of the forbidden forest, perhaps I could find something that would get us out of this dilemma. Well, I hoped that it was the forbidden forest. That was the only place I had ever been.
