“They forgot to tell you my favorite color and my favorite spot,” I said, tilting my chin up slightly, masking my unease with indifference.

Kael chuckled, a deep, amused sound that sent a shiver through me. He leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees, his piercing gaze never leaving mine.
“Oh, that?” he said. “I figured that out when we changed you.”
