Lucian strode into his study, his expression calm but alert. He found Naya already seated in one of the plush chairs opposite his desk. She was as poised as ever, her long legs crossed elegantly and her bright red nails tapping lightly on the armrest.
As Lucian entered, Naya stood, a smile spreading across her face. She approached him, leaning in to kiss him on both cheeks. “Alpha,” she greeted warmly, “it’s so nice to see you again.”
Lucian didn’t reciprocate the gesture, his hands remaining at his sides, but he gave her a small nod. “Naya,” he acknowledged curtly. Without further pleasantries, he walked around his desk and took a seat, motioning for her to do the same. “What brings you here?”
Naya let out a soft laugh, settling back into her chair. “Straight to the point, as always,”
