Jackson Isla was fast asleep on me the morning after the memorial when Cam mindlinked me that their parents were getting ready to head here. I reluctantly slipped out of bed, as carefully as possible, so that Isla didn’t notice I was gone. Her auburn hair fanned her face, and her nose scrunched up a bit when I left, but she didn’t wake up. I grabbed a quick shower before meeting Cam and Lucas.
