My father left early this morning for an emergency assignment. My mother didn’t tell me much, as I was asleep when he came home last night. All she said was she was worried. I assured her I would ask around for details and text her. I wasn’t sure where I was going, but I would let her know when I did.
We didn’t speak about my ex before she left for work. There was no point. She knew the reason and I would never get back together with her. I may not be perfect, but I deserve someone who loves me and is loyal to our relationship.
Once I packed a bag, I locked the empty house and entered the truck. The first stop was the Hybrid Kingdom, but I don’t know after that. Maybe I’ll see where the road takes me. It’s not like I don’t have time.
