I screamed and twisted my body to protect my son when a bright blue light consumed Damon. Emmett started crying, and strong arms wrapped around me.
"It's okay, baby," I comforted him, panting.
"Are you okay?" Vance asked, holding me close as he blocked whatever the hell that was.
"Yeah," I exhaled, bouncing my son.
"Uh, guys," Liam gasped. Vance stepped back, and we turned around.
"Where did he go?"
"You tell me. You and Ash seem to like to disappear," Liam exclaimed, and Vance growled.
"It's okay," I panted his chest.
Emmett calmed down in my arms as I bounced him.
I grabbed Vance's arm when the door was thrown open. We had been friends for years, and I knew he would protect my boy. I let go of him when my mate rushed in with the Dragon and Wolf King.
