A few months later...
The kids and I were enjoying one of the many public pools in the Wolf Kingdom. I refused to live my life behind the brink wall any longer. I don't want my children to fear the outside world because their fathers can handle it. Nothing between us has gotten any better. I moved into the bedroom beside Gabby's. They think I'm wrong for leaving when my uncle called, and I won't apologize for doing the right thing. I can help, and with Donny growing older, I can do more. I'm supposed to do more; I'm a queen. Neither of them would back down, so why am I expected to? I ensured the kids were safe, which was the most important thing.
Liam flopped down on the lounge chair beside me. I fed Donny while Hazel, Matt's mate and Charlotte played with the kids. I smile
