Her gasp caused me to look at her. Her eyes were white.
"Princess?" I quickly took the prince before she collapsed into my free arm. She was panting, gripping me tightly as I held her close and lowered her to the floor.
"Princess Gabby," I exclaimed, but she only whimpered.
"Duke Zayden, library," I called through the link.
"Princess, open your eyes," I pleaded as I shook her. I started to panic when she violently coughed up water.
"Princess," I twisted her head as best I could, and when she was done, her body went limp. "No. No. No princess, wake up." I awkwardly tapped her cheek.
