Future Magical Queen Ember
Lily yawned, and I looked down as she rubbed one of her eyes. She was the cutest little girl I think I have ever seen.
I leaned down and kissed her forehead, "are you hungry?"
"Brad?" she whimpered. I looked across the table and he was watching her. I stood up from my seat and walked around the table to sit beside him.
Once I was settled in the chair, I moved her, so she could see him, "He's right here." She shuffled in my arms and reached out and touched his scruffy cheek. He closed his eyes and leaned into her touch. I couldn't imagine how he was feeling right now.
"Daddy," she whispered. He stood up and moved away from us, causing her to whimper. Brad didn't say a word before he shifted into a large gray wolf.
"He needed a moment," Eric informed us.
