I watch as the conference room empties quickly and Max comes out behind them with a huge grin on his face. I rush towards him as I pass the other alphas and hug him tightly. “What happened!?! Is everything okay?”
Max chuckles and nods his head firmly as he tilts my chin up to look at him. “Everything is perfect, baby. Come on, I’ll tell you everything in my office.” He grabs my hand and leads me down the hall to his office on the first floor. This is his formal office that has all of the bells and whistles of being super sound proof and secure. Once we stepped into the office and Max closed the door, I turned around and looked up at him. “Okay, so what happened!?!”
Max smiled and pulled me into a tight hug. “They said you get to stay! We don’t have to keep worrying.” He kissed my cheek
