I sigh as I pick up the phone and call my mom. It is really late at night, pushing midnight, actually, but I know she will answer when I call her. The phone rings twice before I hear my mom’s groggy voice answer the phone. “Hello? Jazmine? Is that you?”
I sigh and nod my head as I look down at Marcus. “Yeah, mom, it’s me.”
“What’s wrong? What’s going on? Why are you calling me at such a late hour? Did something happen?” Her rappid fire questions start to overwhelm me a bit, but I take a deep cleansing breath as I prepare to lie to my mom.
“Yes, something happened mom… We got to the Coven and we met with Grandma. In addition to meeting Grandma, we were introduced to Seraphina.”
