“I did not mean to, I am sorry.”
She says. Of course, I know she did not mean to, but she looked so scared and I was worried about her last night. I did not believe her when she told me that she did not know him, but why could she not trust to tell me?
I sigh, move closer to her, lock her in between my legs, and pull her closer.
“Do not cry, sweetheart. I know that you had your reason to not say the truth, and I am sorry for raising my voice at you,” I kiss her on top of her head.
