I forced my eyes open, and I realised that I am in a strange room. The reeking of medication gave it away where I was, so I closed my eyes again, trying to remember what happened, and as soon as I did, I panicked, fighting to get out of the hospital bed, but my body was too exhausted and painful, but I knew at that moment I needed to get out and find my girlfriend.
We had a car accident, but before that, we were planning to elope and then fly from Germany to Italy in Rome and start our lives together without our families, but someone had to tamper with the brakes of my car which led us to have an accident. I had survived, she must have survived too, right?
