“Kendra, please. I can’t shift now. I can’t save you,” I begged. I shouldn’t have come here with her. This was wrong. My blood felt cold. I wanted to move, but my legs were frozen. “Please,” I begged again, stretching my hand out towards her. She took another step towards the edge. Just one more step and she would fall.
