I left my mom at the hospital with Kendra and Aelfric, who were still sleeping and went to look for Alarick. He was just here a few moments ago so I hoped he wouldn’t have gone far. We needed to talk about what happened, about him keeping things from me. Kendra had just recovered, so it was too soon for me to shout and scold her for being so stupid, but it was definitely on my ‘to do’ list. He wasn’t in the hospital anymore and the girl at reception told me which way he went. Luckily everyone knew him since he was my father’s right hand man for a long time and during his absence he was the leader so everyone paid attention to him.
