Chapter 34: My sister

1750 Words

“Don’t you fvcking dare die on me.” Kendra ran straight to me with a hard expression, hugging me tightly as if I was already sick and on my deathbed. She had never held me this tight before and we were pretty close besties, practically sisters. “I am not dying,” I replied sternly, but she still refused to let me go.  “That’s not what Alarick told me while I was on the way here. Why didn't anyone call me earlier? You all went for vacation and then I suddenly find out that you have no powers and you are going to die? Like what the heck people.” This time I could sense the anger in her voice. I see they still hadn’t told her exactly what had happened. The apartment Alarick brought me to had become like a fortress. My mom guarded it pretty well and she wasn’t letting anyone in except Kendra.
