“Good morning Sunshine,” I heard those sweet words as soon as I tried to open my eyes. My body was exhausted and I felt like I hadn’t slept at all, but the light streaming into the room woke me up.“Good morning,” I replied to Alarick with a hoarse voice. My throat was as dry as a desert and I could barely talk.
“Here, drink some coffee,” Alarick handed me a hot cup of coffee. I sat up so I wouldn’t spill the drink on myself and tried to take a sip. The coffee was still hot, but not enough to burn my lips which meant Alarick had prepared the coffee a while ago.
“What time is it now?” I asked. My body really felt like I hadn’t had enough sleep which was strange. We didn’t go to sleep that late.
“Six,” he replied and my eyes shot open instantly.
