Emilia giggled as MacRieve looked at her with his big blue eyes and toothless smile. He grinned at his mother and squealed loudly clapping his hands. The two were sitting in the garden enjoying their lunch as Emilia did her school work. Carter was busy dealing with the O'Conner's who had violated some treaty with another family.
Apparently they had a Romeo and Juliet thing going on and Carter went to help broker peace.
